Dressed Up Dressed Down

IMG_2812Well, here we are. Already in the last week of our 2-week vacation at a very beloved, very one-of-a-kind place. It’s all about the beach but it’s so much more than the beach. It’s no cars. It’s ride your bike everywhere, and that means 2 year olds and 90 year olds — on tricycles as needed. It’s sailing on the Great South Bay. It’s Yoga to the the chirp of a bird, the thwack of a tennis ball. Did I say tennis. It’s tennis. And more tennis. It’s the sunny “Circle” that keeps growing with every beach chair. It’s rum and tonics and rosé as the sun goes down. It’s flashlights instead of streetlights. It’s family and friends. It’s laughs, love, and memories to last a lifetime. It’s the best.

Call this a Summer Date Night Look, especially at the Beach. It was pretty cool when we first arrived at Point O’ Woods, so a sweatshirt was a welcome option. And while a sweatshirt is usually what you think of as dressed down, the cold shoulder and ruffles really switch this one up. Chic but still cozy. When it comes to jeans, I’m a sucker for whatever elevates them to a more dressed up option. Just loving the spray of faux pearls and rhinestones, ending in a must-have frayed hem no less. Jeans are only allowed in the bar at The Club, and white ones are ubiquitous. But I couldn’t help being a bit of a rule breaker with this look. You only live once, right? (I did add sparkly gladiators as bare feet are definitely NOT allowed.)

Embellished Jeans: Pilcro for Anthropologie  but cute alternative here (on sale!)

Cold Shoulder Sweatshirt: Style Mafia (super cute and other color options! On sale!!)
