I’m thinking this look is the country counterpoint to my last Jersey City post…which was 11 days ago! I have been the busiest over these last almost-2-weeks that I’ve been in a long, long while. A big shoot and edit for a L’Oreal haircare project and a new campaign pitch on another haircare brand. While I do love what I do, I’ve missed posting! We shot this look last weekend, and it’s only now late on the following Friday night that I could sit down and write this post, share these pics. Hope you enjoy!

First of all, this look is the perfect example of shopping my closet…and one of my son’s! (Don’t laugh…I wear Chanler’s snowboarding pants from when he was 12!) So yes, this flannel shirt was originally in a teenage boy’s wardrobe, but now it’s mine.

So let’s start at the top. I LOVE this hat, pun intended. And the fact that the pom-pom looks like a snowball that just landed on my head. Silly? Uh yeah. But what the heck. There’s no better message than love. As previously noted, the flannel shirt was raided from one of my sons. I super love this reversible down vest — leopard and black! — but it’s from C. Wonder, the company founded and dissolved (sob!) by Chris Burch, Tory’s Ex. A serious fashion tragedy in my book. The jeans are old skinnies. The super cute raffia and faux fur bag is just the cutest. Ever. And a great way to carry a summer trend straight into winter. So what’s new? These killer OTK boots. From Stuart Weitzman, my go-to boot guru. On sale! Yay! And with a rubber sole that’s perfect for the Dacks.

So I’m pretty sure you can put your own spin on this combo in the city…or country.  And LOVE it. Let me know!

We took these pics at my absolute favorite Adirondack store, Dartbrook Rustic Goods. I had to run in for some stocking stuffers, as well as a vintage piece of owl art I’ve had my eye on.
