As a blonde, I’ve always avoided wearing the color yellow. I really can’t tell you why. A fashion rule? Or my own rule?? Well, rules were meant to be broken. The color yellow stands for freshness, happiness, positivity, clarity, energy, optimism and joy. Boy was I missing out! Yellow in all its hues from sunny to mustard has been heating up the summer scene and promises to keep going strong into fall. So when I spied this eyelet dress, I had to say yes to yellow. And guess what? It brightens my mood whenever I put it on. So my new fashion rule is wear what makes you feel good. Whatever your hair color, whatever your age.

Cotton eyelet is a classic summer fabric and it really comes alive in yellow. And I love how this dress balances a structured bodice and full skirt. It’s a fun mix of feminine and flirty.
