While Summer might be my favorite season, I do love the sweater weather of Fall. That’s why I’m getting cozy with this colorful, chunky knit sweater. Typically I would pair it with skinny jeans and some fun booties, but I felt like stepping out of my fashion comfort zone. It was also a shop-my-closet moment that made it fun to rediscover this silky, shiny pleated skirt (seen before in this post), these gorgeous OTK boots (as seen here), and this mini metallic leather bag (as seen here). Which is a roundabout way of saying that you can do the same! And that sometimes it’s the best “shopping” of all.
In case you missed it, fashionistas everywhere are cozying up to chunky sweaters. And it’s easy to see why. They’re comfy yet polished, they can be dressed up or down, and, duh, they keep you warm. This one was an end-of-season sale find last spring. If I could only share one fashion tip, that would be it. Shop out of season! You won’t believe the deals you will score!! This beauty was under $20!!! I love its flattering mock neck that means I can forget about any neck crinkles and wrinkles, and the mixed stitching is extra eye-catching.
From above the knee to maxi, pleated skirts are definitely having a fashion moment. And why not? They’re a wardrobe classic that still looks and feels fresh. With its metallic sheen and color blocked pattern, I know this skirt has staying power — season after season. I’m already planning how I’m going to wear it next. Do you have any suggestions?
Of course, we have to talk about these amaaaaazing boots. If you don’t already own an OTK pair pf boots, I would encourage you to take the leap. They’ll change your life! These over-the-knee boots are also faux suede, so my vegan friends can rest easy. The heel gives you just the right amount of height, while still being walkable. No joke — these beauties are really, really comfortable. I bought them last year, but they’re available again in a range of colors. So yours truly just might have to get another pair. Just saying…
With so many statement pieces, I kept it simple with my accessories. Love these tortoise hoops, and it goes without saying, I love this metallic mini bag. Again, it was a bit of a splurge, but it was on sale at a steep discount. A fashion win!
Boots: (Goodnight Macaroon, also in black and grey — think I might need these!)
