Weather report for tomorrow is a high of 88. I would love to pull out a cashmere cardigan…but that’s not going to happen. Instead, many of us dress in pieces that keep us cool but can be layered should temps dip or AC freeze us out.
This metallic skirt is everything! The subtle sheen, the color blocking, the drape and swing. It’s perfect for now and will be stunning come real fall weather. With that cashmere sweater. For now, I paired it with a crisp white cotton shirt, or should I say, little white shirt (in the future…LWS) and animal print sandals. I like the contrast of silky/crisp/furry textures. And as far as I’m concerned, animal prints are a neutral. Grrrr…
DIY TIP: When I was thinking about accessories for this outfit, I pulled out some stretchy turquoise beaded bracelets. Then I thought…I need a creature detail to reference my shoes. Bug pin! And voila…a custom accessory was born. How about a pin/ribbon choker? Upcoming post? Your outfit?
Some of these photos were taken in front of the Milk Sugar Love ice cream truck. I don’t know about you, but I scream for really really good ice cream. And this is it! Check out their adorable shop on your next foray around or to JC.
Blouse: old BR but similar here and no-iron (!) here

I love the idea of the pin with the stretchy bracelets. This could be my new fall thing. Thanks for the idea. I have also tried it with different ribbons from the fabric stores, velvet, satin, depending on the occasion for the neck and a smaller version of a tie back bracelet.
Thanks for sharing your DIY ideas! Ribbons and pins on my To Do list!!
LOVE that skirt!!!! And all of it.
heart back at ya!
I’m really enjoying the iPhone6 photos! Nice job on the details, interesting neighborhood locations, etc. You two have the perfect eyes for showing the clothing and accessories!
Not sure about perfect eyes…but we’re having so much fun. And discovering really cool new spots every shoot.
You look fab! Loving that bracelet.
Thanks, Claire. Looking forward to seeing how you do yours!
