Because our weeks are usually a jam-packed juggle, I love not having a plan on the weekends. One of our favorite ways to while away an afternoon is to explore Iris Records, with our own (David) Bowie in tow. The store is in a former pharmacy and packed with memorabilia and musical treasures of every genre. If you’re on the hunt for something rare or want to sell off a collection, this is the place. Records, CDs, new, used, re-pressings…they have it all and just celebrated their 20th Anniversary! And their t-shirts are super cute, too.
For this look, I kept it simple and comfy and started with my favorite pair of patched and distressed boyfriend jeans. Then I added a black tank (it was still warm out!), a favorite silver necklace, fun slip-on sneakers and a mixed-texture bomber. Since I only needed my phone, debit card and keys, a small bag sufficed. Love the fun knit texture of this classic one Chris gave me more than 20 years ago.
Boyfriend Jeans: (old, Current Elliott) but great alternatives here and here
Bomber Jacket: (old, J. Crew) but craving this and this
Sneakers: Zara (yeah!) and could easily go for these and these (how cute with the burgundy check bomber in link above)
Necklace: (old, Elizabeth & James) but love this set (combining both long and short) and this
Handbag: (vintage Fendi Baguette) but you can break the bank on a new one (ha ha) or savor the steal of this one

Yes…super nice gift. Pre-college years!
I love that you discovered and mentioned Iris Records. I’ve been going there for a little while now. They have the most amazing collection. Vintage Vinyl used to be my old haunt, but now it’s Iris. Love the shoes, very cute. The YEAH is so now and so fitting for you, getting your blog out it’s such a “YEAH I can and I did”. Thanks for posting. Looking forward to the next one…
Thanks, Lourdes. I couldn’t say no to the sneaks. Working on next post…
