Fall 2016: Je Ne Sais Quoi Style

I hope you don’t feel like this is nameless, faceless fashion. But life and work have conspired against a photo shoot with moi just now. Unless you have been in a hardcore retreat from reality, you know that almost every retailer is big into collaboration  with the unexpected, the iconic, the high style.

This Fall, Uniqlo has scored a home run (Yay Cubs!) with Ines de la Fressange. In her modeling hayday, IDLF was on every cover, in every editorial, Karl Lagerfeld’s muse. It’s so refreshing that she’s grown up and gone on to do her own thing; i.e., many things. I absolutely love this collection and had no hesitation in indulging. For me, it was her sweaters. They are so high quality but with a super affordable price point.

You’ve already seen this chunky, cozy cable-knit in this post. But I also couldn’t resist IDLF’s Boiled Wool Jacket, Argyle Cardigan and Tipped Cashmere Cardigan (limited availability for all). All so timeless, feminine, chic. I propped everything by shopping my closet. You’ve seen the boots here and here. And you know I love my Marmonts. Jeans, from top to bottom: Rag & Bone, Frame, Gap. Underneath, my gotta-have, gotta vote Marc Jacobs Hillary Clinton tee (sold out), Gap chambray shirt (sold out) and old Zara pearl-collared blouse (old). But I know you can create your own take.

Overall, I think you get the idea. Embrace your French. Wear white after Labor Day. Mix high with low. Push the boundaries of fashion (and politics?!?). Vive la Femme.
