Keeping It Cozy

It’s been a while since I posted, but it feels good to be back. And though Spring may have sprung, the weather is not completely cooperating. In the span of one week, we had a Nor’easter that dumped more than a foot of snow up at our cabin, and chilly wind and rain everywhere else. So as much as I’m more than ready to break out some warm-weather looks, it’s still too soon to pack away all my cozy layers — like the ones that are anchoring this look.

I was hoping for milder temps when we decided to do this shoot, but Mother Nature decided otherwise. So this head-to-toe look was not just a fashion choice — it was a necessity! Starting at the top, how cute is this faux sherpa barn jacket. It is definitely one of my favorite new purchases. I have been wearing it on repeat, and it’s been indispensable on all my flights down to Savannah to check on our home reno progress. Lucky for you it’s still available and on super sale! This pretty fair isle sweater in a mix of soft shades blinged up with a sprinkling of sequins is an oldie but goodie. It’s a great transitional piece that’s long gone, but I’ve linked some great alternatives below.

I first posted these cropped kick flare jeans in this Fall 2023 post, and I’m still a big fan. Love the top-stitching and rivets. They will be featured in my next post and stepping out through the summer, too. I also featured this affordable designer belt and one-of-a-kind bag. Both are investment pieces that I still reach for again and again. My cute mushroom earrings were a spontaneous vacation purchase and actually a present for my daughter-in-law — who I hope won’t mind my borrowing of them!

Possibly the coziest item here are these fuzzy platform slipper sandals that are made for both indoor and outdoor use. Designed to help relieve Plantar Fasciitis Pain, they offer the softest faux fur, cushioned support and an adjustable fit. I love love love them. And I think you will, too.

It looks like I’ll have to keep things cozy — at least for a couple of more weeks. And with fun fashion pieces like these, that’s OK. Happy Spring!
