Well, after 5 days we made it to Florida! We had such a cold, gloomy Spring that the sunshine we so craved was almost too much at first. The world looked so bright…the sky so blue…the gardens so lush. But not to worry, we dived right in and embraced the beachier side of life.

Dressed Up Dressed Down
Well, here we are. Already in the last week of our 2-week vacation at a very beloved, very one-of-a-kind place. It’s all about the beach but it’s so much more than the beach. It’s no cars. It’s ride your bike everywhere, and that means 2 year olds and 90 year olds — on tricycles as needed. It’s sailing on the Great South Bay. It’s Yoga to the the chirp of a bird, the thwack of a tennis ball. Did I say tennis. It’s tennis. And more tennis. It’s the sunny “Circle” that keeps growing with every beach chair. It’s rum and tonics and rosé as the sun goes down. It’s flashlights instead of streetlights. It’s family and friends. It’s laughs, love, and memories to last a lifetime. It’s the best.
Palm Beach Preppy
I’m writing this post at the wee hours of our first day back. With a big 9am presentation looming. But my brain is on overdrive. Speaking of drives. It was a 14 1/2 hour one back to Jersey City from Savannah. Who knew Virginia had that much traffic? Yikes. I drove for maybe 1 1/2 hours? Chris was Superman. All in all, it was a great adventure, though next time (?!?) I’m pretty sure I would vote for breaking the drive back up north by one more stop.
