I loved these paint-splatter jeans the minute I saw them, and for me they are the perfect way to wear white after Labor Day. And as temps dip, they will look great tucked into over-the-knee boots with a black sweater. Seriously, you can never go wrong when building an outfit around black and white. The key is pattern and proportion.
I’ve gotten a few comments from followers who don’t feel comfortable wearing white jeans based on their body type. We’ll tackle that in a later post, but for now, you can easily flip this look and pair black jeans with a graphic white top.
Here, I balanced the skinny jeans with a bell-sleeved swing top. I’m not sure you can really see how cool the sleeve detail is, but it makes the top. The shoes? I don’t know how Zara does it, but quite often they best designer labels like Miu Miu and Lanvin.
In case you were wondering, these pics were shot on the roof of my apartment building in Jersey City. We have a chess board and a bocci court and more, not to mention spectacular views. I am lucky!
Top from Cos (eminently packable!)
Jeans (Zara, sold out): but these could be a great staple or these in black velvet (velvet is huge this year!)
Shoes: Ballet flats // and in case you win lotto how about these
Necklace (J. Crew, old) but I love this // and this one
