Leopards and tigers…oh my! You don’t need to go on safari to see how Fall fashion has embraced its animal instincts. I happen to be a particular fan of leopard with a little tiger and snake thrown in, but there are animal prints of every stripe and spot out there. Not to mention some cool color combinations. That’s why this slip dress, first featured in one my earliest posts, is also one of my most-loved animal print pieces. And with a layered look like this, it’s truly a dress I can wear all year round.

Tough Enough
Jersey City is a hub of construction — new buildings or brownstone rehabs seem to be on every other block. I thought the rough hewn look of this almost finished condo was the perfect backdrop for this post. While I love all the individual pieces in this outfit, I wasn’t sure about the total effect. But on second look, I’m pretty happy with the combo. It’s a mostly black palette with the pop of red plaid and leopard. And red lipstick! Which I probably dare to wear once a year.
Every Cloud has a Silver Lining
Sorry for going radio silent. This month took off like a (silver) bullet, and it’s been a struggle to keep up. I have 3 TV/Digital Shoots/Edits in January alone. All super exciting projects that you can see starting in February. Of course, when you’re a freelance Creative busy is what it’s all about. But it’s made my own blog shoots just about impossible.
Shake Your Bootie!
After moving to a new apartment this Summer, I vowed to “Shop My Closet.” But…these Fall/Winter beauties beckoned. And I am a firm fashion believer in the adage that shoes make your outfit. Give me jeans, a simple top and an amazing pair of Booties, and I’m good to go. Hope you enjoy!
So Long Summer 2016: Slip Into This
The slip dress is all over the runways, magazine editorials, top blogs. But unless you’re 20 something, “winging it” with this look is not for the faint of heart, especially over 50. My solution? Your favorite tee. It allows you to dress with the support and coverage you want and wow with a look that’s of the moment.
