Chambray All Day

Do you live in jeans? I pretty much do. I recently did a closet cleanse and sent about 10 pairs off to consignment. I’m not missing them, but denim is my (almost) daily go-to. Even for work. Of course it helps that I’m in Advertising but still…So in an effort to break out, not break away, from what’s become a wardrobe habit, I was pretty excited about slipping on this chambray chemise. And I have to say, I LOVED wearing it.

So can I just say how easy this dress is to wear and accessorize. For this look, I went pretty low key, but I could see it with some red block-heel or wedge sandals and colorful jewelry.  Or, black gladiators and a black straw bag. You get the point. It’s a versatile silhouette that you can dress up or down, all summer long. That’s my plan!

For this look, I kept my accessories to a neutral palette, mostly because I just love all these pieces. A sun-shading straw fedora, geometric mixed metallic earrings (the new tassels!), the perfect suede flat sandals (really! you need them!!) and a super cute straw bag topped with…pom poms. Easy peasy, I was all set to go.

Special thanks to my guest photog, Kristin Moore-Gantz. We have partnered together over the years on campaigns for Maybelline, Essie, Herbal Essence and more, so any time I can rope her into shooting some blog posts for me is the best. She gets some amazing shots and we always have an amazing time. (And maybe a glass or two of rosé…) Team work makes dream work!

Dress: (old, Banana Republic) But if I were on the hunt, I love this, thisthis and this.
