Happy Blog-versary to Me!

Last week, in the midst of more important life moments, I realized that Life’s a Spritz has officially made it through year two. Which makes Fall 2018 my second Blog-iversary (baby steps!). Not earth-shattering but still something I’m proud of. What have I learned? A lot. However you make it your own, blogging is hard (but fun) work, a potential source of income (don’t quit your day job…yet), a way to discover and learn from and even meet lots of cool, unique and inspiring people. What have I accomplished? The balloons are a calorie-free celebration of hitting over 2000 Instagram followers…and counting. And I’m about to receive my first affiliate program payment. (Yay!) I’m ready, set, go for year three. Hope you are too. Most of all, thank you for following and for your support and enthusiasm on this journey.
So before we talk Fall fashion, I wanted to give a shout-out to Jersey City’s amazing and ever-changing street art. Especially since so many of you have commented on it when one mural or another makes an appearance in a post. Thanks to the Jersey City Mural Arts Program, a city program connecting artists with property owners, Hamilton Park, Downtown and beyond have become a sprawling and spectacular outdoor art gallery. I’m not kidding when I say I discover some new gem every day. So thank you JCMAP, and thank you to all our talented artists!

OK, back to this season’s key trends you should consider adding to your current wardrobe. And this look touches on just a few. Whatever else you’re wearing, colorful chunky sweaters are EVERYWHERE and go with everything — from jeans to skirts to party dresses (stay tuned). I love the sunny mustard color of this cozy cardigan, complete with patch pockets and tortoise buttons. It was the perfect partner to this super cool, shiny snake print skirt. All I can say is wow — from its taupe-to-yellow tones to its retro zip front — this is a total statement piece. And a fun and affordable way to walk on fashion’s wild side.

Luckily, the rest of my look helped me stick to my “low spend September” program. A shop-my-closet statement tee and bag, and yes, must-have sneakers that feel as good as they look. I’m good to go. Are you?

Sweater: (H&M, sold out online but you could find in-store) Similar here, here and here.

Skirt: (Zara) Also love this and this.

Tee: (old, Moschino) But I’d happily add this, this, or this to my wardrobe!

Bag: (old, Tory Burch) but how fun is this  and this!

Sneakers: (Adidas Gazelle, no longer available in grey but other colors here)

And special thanks to JC’s own Bouquets & Baskets for answering my last minute call for balloons!
