Wearing black from head-to-toe can look (and feel) a bit funereal. One of my tricks is to mix textures for a more visually (and personally) exciting look. Here, I’ve combined a few of my current favorites.
Details make the difference in this chunky knit, longer length sweater: mixed media sleeves, silky zip pocket, thick cuffs, side slits. Instead of typical leggings, I paired it with these pleather ones. They’ve got a good mid-rise and lots of stretch, so they are very forgiving. And still look pretty cool. I finished with embroidered booties and this statement watch in rose gold with black leather band.
I could also see a combo with black jeans, velvet top and patent booties or sequin top, sleek leggings and statement heels. Whatever the occasion, you can make your own unique LBO.
Sweater: (Rag & Bone, sold out) but like this and this
Leggings: (Zara, old) but similar here and here
Booties: (Topshop, sold out unless you wear 9 1/2) but love these and these
Watch: Cluse, here’s mine but LOTS of options

Great idea to combine textures, etc. because we’ve all got plenty of black! Love those embroidered booties, too! Very cute. BTW, I love your colorful settings for the blog! Interesting buildings and fences and textures and local businesses….or at your cabin! All work so well with but never against your outfits. Can’t wait to see what you do in a blizzard! Thanks, MP!
I LOOOOVE everything about this!
I love your outfits! The boots are soo chic!
