Make It Snake

SNAKE BY DAY

Move over leopard, there’s a new animal in town! And sssshe’s all about sophistication and versatility. As in day into night, winter into spring. I tried out quite a few pieces that capture this trend, but this snakeskin print pleated skirt won my heart. And a place in my wardrobe.

SNAKE BY NIGHT

This post is going to be on the brief side, because WordPress has decided to update its program out of the blue. Sorry, so for this 60+ blogger that’s a bit of an issue. (!!!) But I did want to get this post out asap, so here goes.

First, we have to talk about this skirt. I’m 5′ 8″ and I LOVE a skirt that gives me the length I really want. Neither midi nor maxi (unless you’re petite!), this snakeskin print skirt is on point. The knife pleating gives it movement, and its subtle color palette makes it a neutral wardrobe option you can reach for again..and again. And just for this post I’ve styled it day-into-night.

For day, I’d pair this snakeskin print skirt with something über casual like this cozy, but not-too-oversized fleece sweatshirt, a surprising statement tote (that puffy smiley face!) (cheeky but oh so chic!!) (and it can hold my PM sweater and purse!!!), and sparkly block heel pumps that are just so right any time of day (or night) in my book. I mean, comfort and glitter? What more could you ask for?

For night, I’d swap my fleece top for a sparkly black sweater and a smaller classic designer bag. Add a pair of celestial earrings, and the night time is the right time!

Just a few final thoughts on this fabulous snakeskin print skirt. I know I will be wearing it months rom now with a slew of fashion tees from white to black, with springtime shoe options from sneaks to sandals. It’s a fresh fashion find that’s very affordable andgoing to stand the test of time!

Skirt: (H&M) Also like this skirt (especially if you are on the petite side) and this dress.
