It’s pretty hard to beat a tee and denim duo. That might be why I can’t resist a fun, fresh interpretation of each. FYI, I’m never in favor of statement tees that use “bad” language or scream a faux sense of cool. But this sweet little tee made me smile. And think, mais oui, I must add you to my wardrobe.

It may be May, but temps here in JC are still on the chilly side. That’s when a jean jacket becomes my day-into-night go-to. This one is by a Earl, a now defunct brand, and is at least 10 years old. I loved it the first day I wore it, and I love it even more all these years later. The fitted cut and dark wash create a more sophisticated, less slouchy silhouette. To keep it fresh, I like to add pins and buttons collected on trips and vintage trawls. Museum shops are great sources, too.
