We shot this post in my JC neighborhood, but the plaid top has already migrated up to our cabin. It’s a fun, feminine twist on the flannel shirt look that’s right at home in the mountains. Once the weather cools down, a black puffer is perfect…anywhere, anytime. And there are so many great options out there. This one has a slightly shiny finish, which makes it a bit more city chic. Have to confess I also have its twin by another mother in the Adirondacks.
If you don’t already own a pair of grey jeans, you need to. I was inspired by a blog I follow to get these, and I can’t stress their versatility enough. I’ve honestly lost count of how many times I’ve worn them, season after season. (For summer, think white tee and silver sandals!). I shared these studded velvet booties in an earlier post. They’re the perfect balance of edgy and ease. Topping it all off? A beanie with attitude. If you haven’t yet noticed I love graphic words or slogans on any piece of clothing, you will.
Puffer: (old, J. Crew) but here’s their vest version (and yes, I have this too!) and its country counterpart.
Top: Zara. Love this and this from them as well.
Jeans: (old, Paige) but here’s what they have this year, plus an option from NYDJ.
Boots: Jeffrey Campbell (but limited sizes). Check out these and these, too.
Hat: (old, Zara) but here’s a cap and another beanie that I love.
