Polished Plaid

This Fall, everyone has gone mad for plaid. Including yours truly. And why not? It’s a timeless pattern that always looks polished, no matter what you wear it with. Working in Advertising means I can pretty much wear anything any time, but I do like looking pulled together. And this plaid blazer is just the ticket. Not to mention these bow-topped slingbacks. Fun, right?
Hopefully you’re not going to be too annoyed that this look is another shop-my-closet outfit. Not all of it! But for every piece that’s “so last year,” I’ve linked similar faves from this Fall below. So let’s take it from the top and talk about this tailored blazer in a Glen Plaid, perhaps the most classic plaid of all. A versatile, well-tailored piece like this offers you so many outfit opportunities. How about pairing it with a pair of red pants and metallic pumps for a date night. Or over your favorite floral dress for that perfect pattern mash-up.

For this look, I went with a classic designer t-shirt (as seen in this post) and skinny black jeans (as seen in this post). Then I added some gotta-have-em goldtone hoop earrings, this adorable black straw crossbody bag that you can carry as a top handle too, and — last but not least —  these plaid slingbacks. I just love the flirty bows that top them off. How cute would they be with your favorite LBD?
