All the Fall Cozies: Look #2

Coming your way…more of my Fall faves. As in key pieces you can layer your way, wear every day. FYI, this was my first time shooting a post solo with my new tripod and remote. It’s pretty funny, and fun, to be on top of a mountain and posing for pics. Not sure what Bowie thought about the whole thing. He was probably more interested in the chipmunks!

The “shacket” continues its outerwear fashion reign, and this super soft, super cozy plaid button-up is going to have me snuggling into it all Fall long. A nip in the air is no match for its just-right flannel warmth with a soft jersey lining and chore-ready pockets. This topper might be walking on the wild Adirondack side for this post, but I know it will be equally at home in the big city. Add in a few other key pieces, and you have another fave Fall look to cozy up to!

This cute puff-sleeve sweater is another Target/Universal Thread winner. I think it would also look great great layered over a white button down. My jeans are a J. Crew Factory score. And I highly recommend you periodically check out this site for fantastic savings on well-styled classics and trend-friendly additions to your wardrobe.

Lastly, your eyes are not deceiving you. Another pair of Birkenstocks! This pair of Bostons is shearling lined, so they will see me from Fall into Winter, even in North Country. Of course I will add socks.

Jacket: (Thread & Supply), Sweater (Universal Thread, still available, limited sizes, on sale for $17!), Jeans: (J. Crew Factory, similar here), Shearling-lined Clogs (Birkenstock).

On another cozy note, here is one of my favorite Fall recipes. I love this Dutch Oven Chicken recipe as a starter to a one-pot meal. I’ve used chicken breasts and thighs. And loaded my versions with any combination of carrots, onions, potatoes, celery, mushrooms — depending on what I have. No fresh herbs? Try dried Herbes de Provence or any other combo of dried parsley/thyme/tarragon. This past week, I cooked up some egg noodles as a side. Add a green salad and volià. I will say the leftovers were delish. Don’t have a Dutch Oven? I snagged my Le Creuset at an upstate outlet, and everyone is raving about this very affordable Lodge option from Target. Happy cooking!
