What would a summer wardrobe be without the perfect Little White Dress (or LWD in fashion-speak)? For me, this tailored eyelet sheath had my name on it. And at a super sale price, it just might be my style score of the season.

I first spotted this dress in store and bought it on the spot. It’s feminine, fitted, and finished with the kind of tailored details you don’t see that much anymore. I especially love the set-in grosgrain waistband and ruffled shoulder straps. But I didn’t try it on until I got home, and that’s when I decided that at 5′ 8″ a Tall would suit be better. I have long arms and legs but I’m also long-waisted, so I often choose this online option offered by brands like Banana Republic, Madewell and Ann Taylor. Best of all, when I logged onto the site it was on sale. So, I bought it twice but kept it once!

I’ve styled it very simply here, with mostly all white accessories — slide sandals, wristlet bag, enamel bangles and feathered-and-beaded earrings. But…I could see it paired with neutrals or dressed up with black. Bright yellow or red would add a fun color pop as well. And when the temps dip you could layer on a jean jacket for a festival vibe or grab a pretty shrug or shawl. Come Fall, I might even go for a Royal Tenenbaum take and wear it with a tissue-thin black turtleneck, black tights, and black booties. We shall see if I’m daring enough!
