On the Prowl

Yes, you’re seeing spots. As in leopard. Because the fashion world is seriously wild about this iconic pattern. And since I am too, it’s going to be in heavy rotation this Fall…and beyond. You got your first glimpse of my so-loved silk leopard print skirt in this recent post. So it was only natural that my closet was in need of a great pair of leopard pants, right? Dressed up or down, these silky, slouchy wide leg pants are definitely going to be prowling around town.

You can chalk these leopard pants up to my Zara addiction. If I step into a store or go online, there will be shopping. Especially when it comes to accessible and affordable twists on designer trends. And it’s not just the of-the-moment leopard print that makes these pants perfect. I love the black piping along the outer seam, plus handy dandy pockets and the slip-em-on-and-go elastic waist. Can you say chic and comfy?

I kept the rest of my palette black. While I already have quite the black sweater collection, this fuzzy pullover was also a recent Zara score. I love the contrast in texture it brings. (It would also look great paired with a blue-and-white striped shirt and jeans.) The Tory Burch Small Marsden Leather Tote was my NSale splurge, and I simply love it! It’s definitely a timeless accessory, so well worth the investment. And I think its structured, ladylike vibe is the perfect counterpoint to my amazing studded-and-buckled, black leather Hi Tops. Yes, another splurge, but who’s gonna say no to a glam rock attitude every now and then? Of course, a favorite pair of black booties would look great too. Last but not least, a bold watch with black leather band.

For this “cat lady,” the fashion possibilities (and fun!) of leopard printed anything are endless and endlessly inspiring. Stay tuned!

    1. Thanks, Yvonne. As I wrote, animal prints (especially leopard) seem to be a wardrobe obsession. Stay tuned for some more!~
