Into the Blue

When it comes to jeans, I’ve always been true blue to a cuffed, straight leg silhouette. I have even been known to buy jeans in a Tall length — just so I can get an extra big cuff. This pair also features a super high waist. Again, a look and feel I fully endorse.

Brown is considered a neutral color, especially when it comes to accessories. And it works beautifully with any shade of blue — from sky to navy. I’m not a Pinterest girl, but it’s awash in blue-and-brown outfit combos, in case you’re craving more inspiration.

I’m loving the unexpected pairing of a silky, dressy top with faded jeans. I shopped my closet for this tie-dye bucket hat, which is giving me some much-needed protection from the sun. These chic suede sandals were also waiting for me in my closet. And you can never go wrong with a little faux bling, right. This bag? It’s from Verano Hill, a new brand for me and recently seen in this post. VH was established for the sole purpose of disrupting the over-priced fashion accessories industry, with bags and jewelry designed to let you express your individuality and own that feeling. And right now there are so many sale options (including this bag) available on the site! So I say, express away!!

Top: (Banana Republic Factory, very limited sizes in navy but more options in white, red sunset and black.)

Jeans: (J Crew, on sale, limited sizes but you can pre-order.)

Sandals: (old, Valentino) This year’s version here (30% off), more affordable here (still designer quality).

Hat: (old, J Crew) Similar here (patchwork and fringe!), here and here.

Bag: (Verano Hill, on sale) Also loving this option in chocolate raffia (under $35!)

Choker: (old) Similar here (crystal collar style) and here.

Bracelet: (J Crew, on sale) Also like this (stretchy) and this (blue rhinestones!).

I use affiliate links and may receive a small commission for some purchases you make. Thank you!

    1. Thanks, Elisa. Blue and brown are an unexpected color combo, but that’s also why I love them together so much. Let me know if you try it!
