Anogher holiday season is upon us. Hope you enjoyed a great Thanksgiving with family and friends and haven’t fallen too far down the rabbit hole of Black Friday shopping. I’ve got multiple online carts full, but haven’t checked out…yet. In the meantime, let’s celebrate a few of my favorite fashion things — stripes and sparkle. Both being perfect wardrobe additions any time of year, but especially in the days ahead.

Whether you are looking to go all-out with sequins or just add a hint of sparkle to your holiday looks, ’tis the season to get your glow on! What I like about this look is the sprinkle of glam it brings to daytime dressing. And with just a few tweaks it could go straight to a holiday party.

When it comes to sparkle, we’re not talking disco. This is where subtle details makes the difference — earrings with a sprinkling of rhinestones, a rhinestone belt and bedazzled flats.

And stripes? They are always a fashion “do” for me. Stripes will always be in style, because they are so versatile. I love this sweater’s slight mock neck and slit cuffs. It’s unexpected touches like these that make something that could be considered a bit ordinary, well, special.

Another classic? The pleated skirt. Here, it takes shape in a silky, slightly shimmery fabric and longer length. Again another super versatile piece that can be dressed up or down, season after season.

Like any iconic designer piece, my Fendi baguette is always at the ready. I think my husband bought it for me in 1994, which makes this bag almost 30 years old! And it still looks pristine. Not to mention, it’s still very much in demand on resale sights like The RealReal — very possibly more expensive today. That’s why I am a big proponent of thoughtfully investing in quality items. There is a return on investment. Looking ahead to 2024, I’ll be on the hunt for a resale Chanel bag. Stay tuned!
