So seriously, are we all maintaining our sanity in the run up to Christmas? I surely hope so! I consider myself lucky in that I have 3 full-blown millennials who are not obsessed with wanting some particular “thing.” (Remember Furbies…XGames…Lego…phew.) So now I have fun searching out cool stocking stuffers (skull ice cube trays, beer’d wash, can’t disclose more!), and then we write them a check to help them on their way however they need and choose. We trust that they’ll make good decisions, maybe even put some away in a savings account. So…in the name of last minute Christmas suggestions, here’s a post with some millennial vetted gift suggestions!

Somewhere Over The Rainbow Stripe
Did you ever read a “Series of Unfortunate Events” with your kids? It’s a multi-book collection about three orphans who survive one calamity after another. While the past 10 days for me haven’t been that dramatic, they have been pretty stressful. I took on probably one too many freelance writing projects, am rehabbing from a bout of Sciatica, threw out my iPhone adapter (Why, Apple?!?), and had to undergo a pretty invasive medical procedure (fingers crossed onĀ that one!). So…looking to rainbows, and wearing them, made me feel more hopeful, more confident, more happy.

I bought this Gucci bag (with the real deal bamboo handle) in 1994 when I was a Copy Director for Elizabeth Arden. I was a 30-something full-time-commuting-working Mom of two with #3 on the way.
