Even though we are enjoying an unseasonably warm Fall, it’s never too soon to assess your coat closet and see what you’re missing. I’ll be honest…I’m really not missing a puffer jacket, but the one I own is black. A classic for sure, but sometimes you just need something a little more unexpected. And fun. Enter Zerina Akers and her latest Icons of Style x Macy’s Collab. As a stylist to the stars, Zerina’s credentials are sky high. And this cloud printed puffer is the perfect example of her signature imaginative chic. 

Once winter sets in, there are so many grey-sky-chilly days ahead that I think this cloud print puffer is the perfect antidote to feeling blue about a change in season. Its drawstring waist lets you cinch it up extra tight for an extra cozy fit. And the puffy collar adds some cozy neck protection on windy days.

And once those cold days do set in I won’t be wearing open-toe booties, because I am definitely not a believer in suffering for fashion. But I do feel an open-toe bootie is a really great transitional option for every wardrobe — especially as long as you get a pedicure!

My sweater is a shop-my-closet pick and the black paperbag pants (so comfy) are yet another Target steal — style and price wise. With basics like these, I always look for the details that elevate them beyond the ordinary. Like the ruffled cuff on this sweater, the tapered leg on these easy-fit pants. I found this super cute designer patchwork crossbody bag at the Outnet, one of my favorite sites for scoring amazing deals on designer sale pieces. Fun note, during our shoot I spontaneously stepped into and converted it into a belt bag, which added a whole other level of stying options.
