When things heat up, a summery sundress is easy to dress up or down — depending on how your day plays out. It’s the perfect canvas to convey your personal style, making it a must-have for your summer outfit rotation. I always try to look for ones in natural, breathable materials like this super-lightweight, 100% cotton denim. Linen and silk are good options, too.
If you’re of a certain age and you grew up in a city like I did (NYC in my case), then you know that if you had roof access, you had “tar beach” access. “Tar” comes from the tar paper most roofs were finished with, as hot as it sounds. And really nothing like a “beach,” except for the sun. And hopefully a passing breeze every now and then. But it was also a little slice of urban paradise when you didn’t have a local pool or beach. So these pics, inspired by this colorful sundress, are a nod to those times gone by. But not forgotten!
We may all be living in the real world, but from what I hear “Barbie” is the delightful and empowering animated adventure that is this summer’s must-see movie. It’s definitely top of my list. In the meantime, I’m thinking Barbie pink. Like this pretty-in-pink sundress.
Yay, summer is really, truly, finally here. And it’s about time. And time to break out the sundresses and bring on the Birkies, because it wouldn’t be summer without them.
Well, there’s not one bad thing we can say about our stay in Delray Beach. We just might have to retire here! (And the Dacks, of course.) More on that in a later post. But seriously, my husband Chris first went to Delray as a baby, and he’s loved it ever since. What’s not to love…the beach, tennis (bliss for him, sort of for me), great restaurants, shopping (yay for me), and just a chill vibe. Which we both very much needed.
