Not Your Grandma’s Crochet

When you think of crochet does your grandma’s favorite hobby come to mind? That was then. Now, the newest knits are more refined, less homespun. Making today’s crochet a cult favorite. From Gen Zers to celebrities to yours truly, everyone seems to have a soft spot for this trans-seasonal trend. Yes, crochet is cool again.

Blue Belle

When I fully embraced being a Boy Mom of three, I found myself living in a world of blue. Blue painted bedrooms, blue clothing and accessories, even blue strollers for my crew of blue-eyed boys. I often asked myself if I was overdoing it, but my friends who were Girl Moms seemed similarly immersed in pinks and purples. And truth be told, I rarely gravitated to those colors before then, and now rarely pick anything pink for my wardrobe. And purple? Pretty much a no-go…ever.

Not So Plain Vanilla

It’s about this time of year that as much as I rely on black pieces as the foundation to my winter wardrobe, I’m also pretty tired of wearing black, not to mention seeing it on everyone else. But if I’m going to shop for something new, it has to have staying power beyond the here and now. And if I can score it on sale, it’s a done deal.

I Left My Heart in Jamaica

I have been going to Negril, Jamaica since 1990, with a few around-the- island forays thrown in between. It is our family Happy Place, for sure. So after a 6-year hiatus, my husband and I finally made it back. And guess what? My love for this gorgeous island (and its people!) has only grown stronger. This post is the first of two and is focusing on what I wore…mostly on the beach. Post #2 will feature travel recos. As always, one love!
